Monica Bergnes is a NY State Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 13 years of experience specializing in acute and complex trauma and eating disorders.

In her private practice, she offers weekly therapy and Intensive EMDR therapy.

Monica is driven by a deeply held belief in each person's innate ability to heal.

Monica is a Certified EMDR therapist and Consultant in Training, a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor and a Certified HeartMath Practitioner.

She has completed advanced trainings in the Flash Technique and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, as well as a two-year post-graduate certificate in psychoanalytic psychotherapy.

Outside of her private practice, she volunteers with Physicians for Human Rights, conducting forensic psychological evaluations for asylum seekers.
